The purpose of the Project Development Internship is to assist MCB researchers in the development of their research projects and support the efficient running of the department.
As a Project Development Intern, you will be involved in the development and running of research projects. You will assist researchers with all aspects of their work, including identifying research ideas; writing proposals for funding; conducting literature searches; obtaining funding approvals; drafting publications and presentations; planning fieldwork logistics; conducting experiments in the laboratory or field; analysing data using statistical software packages such as R or SPSS.
You’ll also help with general administration tasks such as processing invoices, ordering supplies and equipment in line with budgets agreed by MCB management teams. You’ll also support other researchers within MCB by acting as a mentor on an informal basis to new postgraduate students joining MCB’s research community every year
