Most students will take part in our program as a way of exploring their interest in medicine and determining their future career path. Many students in this category feel that they want to pursue a health profession but have limited exposure to medical settings and want more direction before committing to a specific path. We also work with those who know they want to be doctors, nurses, dentists or other health professionals but would like the opportunity to explore different options (e.g., physician assistant versus nurse practitioner).

A few high school seniors also participate in our program as an opportunity to get started on their college careers before starting at their chosen school.

This program provides a broad view into the many specialties that exist within healthcare and explores the major administrative roles and operational tasks required of a medical practice.

Your skills as an intern will be tested when it comes time for you to:
