Unpaid internships are common in the fashion industry. While many students do not have the luxury of taking an unpaid position, it’s important to remember that most internships give you real-world experience and can lead to full time employment. If you’re worried about finances, consider asking your university or college if they offer financial aid for unpaid internships as some schools allow their students to work part-time while in school.

You’ll be working closely with designers and other industry professionals, so this position will also provide you with many networking opportunities!

To begin, it’s important to know how you’ll stand out against other interns who are also competing for a spot at this prestigious company. To do this, some see being fashionable as key; however, there are many ways you can do so without trying too hard or overdoing it. For example, consider dressing professionally but elegantly; while wearing something like a suit may seem like overkill for such a high-end fashion company (and somewhat ironic), it will certainly demonstrate that you’re serious about starting your career there and that you take yourself seriously as well.

When applying for internships at London-based fashion companies, demonstrating passion is also integral. Being passionate about helping people look their best through clothes is what most employers at these companies want from their interns—so if you can highlight specific experiences in which you’ve helped someone else look great with clothing or accessories, definitely bring those up! It shows that not only do you have imagination when it comes to style but also empathy towards others—which are both essential qualities in any successful stylist.”
