Blizzard Entertainment is a premier game developer and entertainment company. We’ve entertained millions of players around the world for over two decades with our epic multiplayer titles, including the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo series. Our newest franchise, Overwatch, has quickly become a global phenomenon among players from all walks of life. The work we do makes a real difference in people’s lives on both sides of the screen—as evidenced by the nearly half billion dollars we’ve raised for charity since 2005.

We provide internships throughout most departments at Blizzard Entertainment globally (one or two positions per department/location). All interns are hired as temporary employees through our staffing partner Yoh Services LLC.

Rockstar

If you’re interested in game development, Rockstar is a good place to intern. They are a video game developer and publisher whose games are incredibly popular with gamers, and that popularity is based on their long history of developing successful games.

Maybe you’ve heard of some of their earlier games: Grand Theft Auto, Bully, Max Payne? Or maybe you’ve played more recent releases like L.A. Noire or Red Dead Redemption 2? Rockstar has developed many popular games over the years, and they’re still going strong today!

Sony

Sony is a great place to work. At Sony, you will be working with some of the best game developers in the world on games that people love. You will get to work with the latest technology and have access to the latest hardware.

If you want to apply for an internship, here’s what you can do:

  • Visit Sony’s careers site and select “Internship Program” from the Job Type drop-down box.
  • Choose a country from the Location drop-down box and click Search Jobs.
  • Scroll down and check off “Game Development” in the Discipline section if it hasn’t already been checked off by default. Click Search Jobs again, then click on your desired Internship title.

Ubisoft

You’ve worked hard to put yourself through college, and now you’re itching to get out there and show potential employers what you’re made of. If you want to help make the next big hit in video games (while also getting paid), Ubisoft is a good place to start. While it may be French in origin, Ubisoft has grown into a massive company with offices all over the world. As such, they need lots of talented people who can help them continue expanding their reach. It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in programming, design, 3D modeling, or writing – Ubisoft has internship programs for each department.

Insomniac

Insomniac Games, founded in 1994, has been around for almost 25 years and has created plenty of games that we all know and love, including Ratchet & Clank, Spyro the Dragon, Resistance: Fall of Man (the first PlayStation 3 exclusive), and Sunset Overdrive. In addition to those titles, they also have an upcoming Spider-Man game releasing on September 7th exclusively on PS4.

Internships at Insomniac are available in Burbank California as well as Durham North Carolina. The internship is 12 weeks long and interns will have the opportunity to take part in activities such as game jams, roundtables with employees from every department across the company, resume workshops with Human Resources team members who specialize in recruiting for your specific field of interest.
