If you’re interested in working for Goldman Sachs, you’ve already got the right idea. Known as “The Firm,” this financial powerhouse is often considered a leader among other banks and financial services companies. For example, if you want to work in investment banking (IB), it would be hard to find another company with better resources or more experience than Goldman Sachs.

Interns at the firm will have the opportunity to work on projects related to everything from securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals to advising clients on their pension plans. They may also gain experience analyzing companies’ balance sheets or helping them figure out how they can make themselves attractive takeover targets by using various types of financing strategies such as leveraged buyouts (LBOs).
