This role is open to students who will receive university credit for their work with us. You’ll get hands-on experience in the editorial world—you’ll be helping writers with research and writing tasks, assisting with subbing articles, managing the letter pages and social media channels, as well as getting involved in photo shoots and masterminding events at the Marie Claire offices. We’re looking for someone who’s flexible and friendly with a can-do attitude! Please note that we do not accept unpaid interns.

Time Out London – Sub-editorial Internship (paid)

The main aim of this internship is to help you develop skills in the areas of feature writing, copy-editing, proofreading and learning the essentials of magazine production.

You will be working alongside our Art Editor, learning how to prepare images for publication by colour correcting and retouching. You will also learn how we customise content for online publishing; how to prepare PDFs for print; and get a taste of what goes into producing a weekly magazine.

You’ll be expected to support the editorial team with research on events and venues, create top 10 lists and write short reviews. You will also be given more substantial features to write.
