The Loop Capital Internship (LCI) is an 8-week program in Chicago, IL that provides a well-rounded overview of the financial industry. To be eligible for this program, you must:
- Be a current college student with junior or senior status
- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be pursuing a degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or a related field
- Have at least 3.0 GPA
This is a paid opportunity.
The LCI is a paid internship program that runs from June 3 to July 26. The internship program is located in Chicago, IL.
All interns participate in a competitive selection process and are able to grow their professional skills through hands-on experience at Loop Capital. Through the LCI, we provide students with the opportunity to work alongside our seasoned professionals and gain exposure to both the financial services industry as well as Loop Capital’s unique corporate culture.
You will have the opportunity to network with executives and other interns to cultivate your professional network.
We know that you have several internship options, and we want to ensure that your experience with Loop Capital is exceptional. We provide our interns the opportunity to participate in a mentorship program, where they are paired with a professional mentor who helps guide their professional growth. This can be a powerful way to learn more about the industry and how Loop Capital operates internally. Mentors offer advice on how to approach challenging issues and how to identify opportunities for advancement.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to network with executives and other interns to cultivate your professional network. Building strong relationships at an early stage of your career can help you as you continue down your career path, so we encourage all of our interns to be open and connected members of the team during their time at Loop Capital.

The internship is open to undergraduates and recent graduates alike, as long as they have completed their sophomore year at a four-year institution. Because it is a competitive program, we look for students who have taken the following classes: Introduction to Finance, Global Business Environment, Intro to Statistics, and Intermediate Accounting I. If you don’t quite meet those standards but still want to participate in the program, don’t worry! We are willing to consider anyone who has demonstrated a willingness and ability to learn about financial markets.
