Elizabeth Styles
- As a fashion intern, Elizabeth Styles has the privilege of working at one of the most influential magazines in the world.
- Her passion for art and photography has led her to be an excellent production assistant, who is always willing to lend a helping hand.
- Having worked as a part-time assistant before joining this team full time, Elizabeth is excited to learn more about all facets of journalism.
DIGITAL CONTENT INTERN, HARPER’S BAZAAR UK, LONDON
This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the fast-paced world of publishing and media. The Digital Content Intern will work on a variety of digital projects, assisting with content creation and management, social media presence, website maintenance, as well as other marketing initiatives. The role will include responsibilities such as researching and creating feature articles for Harper’s Bazaar magazine’s website; helping to build engaging social media content across platforms; sourcing images; reporting metrics in weekly status meetings with the Digital Director; taking quality control photos for the publication’s websites; conducting interviews via Skype or Facetime; recording podcasts and podcast transcripts.
The internship is based in our London office but you may be required occasionally to travel overnight for meetings or events outside our neighbourhood (e.g., at international fashion weeks).

Who: Talia Simons
What: Internship at Stonewall Housing Association
How did she find her internship? “Stonewall Housing Association is a great charity that helps people in the LGBTQ community. They have been looking for an intern for over a year and I’ve been working with them for eight months now.”
How did she get the job? “I met with their CEO and they offered me an internship.”
What are her plans for the future? “I would like to stay in this area and work with LGBT+ people because there aren’t enough services available locally.”
FASHION AND BEAUTY EDITORIAL INTERN, COSMOPOLITAN, LONDON
You will be working in the beauty editorial department, which means that you’ll be reading through fashion and beauty magazines and researching trends for upcoming issues. You will also be contributing to articles about hair, makeup and skincare, as well as other features related to fashion and beauty.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn more about the publishing industry while gaining hands-on experience with content creation. You’ll get feedback on your work from an editor at Cosmopolitan’s head office, who will help you develop your ideas into fully formed stories ready for publication online or in print! As an intern at Cosmopolitan Magazine’s London office you will also have access to all of their channels so that when it comes time for our quarterly issue (which comes out every three months) we can use those platforms too!
Emily Adams
Emily Adams is a graduate of University in 2016, with a First in English Literature. She then worked as a freelance writer for magazines such as Refinery29, Grazia and Good Housekeeping. Emily gained experience in journalism and fashion communications by interning at Stylist Magazine and Grazia Magazine.
Emily has written pieces on everything from the art of self-care to how to make your own beauty products at home – all while working as an intern!

Maria Valentina Perez
Maria Valentina Perez is a writer, editor and educator with a passion for storytelling. She has studied journalism at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru and photojournalism at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been published in Time, The Washington Post and Newsweek among others. She currently writes freelance stories for National Geographic Traveler magazine.
She is also the co-founder of Nómada, an online magazine that takes you on a journey through Latin America’s most vibrant cities. You can find her writing there every week or follow her on Instagram @mariavperez
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT INTERN, EXPERIAN MARKETING SERVICES, NOTTINGHAM
This internship is a great way to gain valuable experience in the field of marketing and consumer data. You’ll be working with clients on their marketing strategies, helping them to incorporate consumer data into their campaigns.
You’ll need to be able to work independently, but also as part of a team. Your communication skills will also be tested, so it’s necessary that you can communicate effectively in both writing and speaking (both written and verbal).

Hannah Di Francesco is a freelance writer for The Guardian, The Times and other publications. She has written about politics and social issues in the UK, the US and Canada. In her spare time she volunteers at her local dog shelter.
FASHION INTERN, LULU GUINNESS, LONDON
Lulu Guinness is a British fashion designer specializing in handbags, accessories and clothing. She is best known for her handbags that feature lips and eyes. Her work has been featured in Vogue magazine and in 2007 she received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
In this role, you will be working with content management systems (CMS) to assist in designing web pages and optimizing search engine listings. The position requires familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript or similar programming languages. You will also need strong organizational skills as well as excellent communication skills to effectively convey your ideas while working collaboratively on a team.
